IPT provides complete maintenance services to six facilities totaling over 26 MW.  High availability and the ability to bring plants on-line quickly after outages are crucial to financial success.  IPT-serviced plants average 95% overall availability and in excess of 99% on-peak availability.  These high availabilities are a testimony to IPT's maintenance programs and service capability.

Even customers who operate and manage their own facilities still require expert technicians to conduct periodic maintenance and inspection of cogeneration and thermal plant equipment. IPT is under contract at several sites to conduct periodic inspection and plant maintenance activities.  IPT field service personnel and technicians have the benefit of many years of experience with a variety of prime movers.

As-Requested Maintenance

IPT provides maintenance services on an as-requested basis to cogeneration and small power plants inside and outside of California.  Typical service calls include engine removal and installation supervision, borescope services, troubleshooting, instrument calibration, and controls maintenance and repair.

Plant Management

IPT offers its management skills as a separate service option.  In addition to the sites at which IPT provides "turnkey" OM&M, IPT provides ongoing, contract management services to two additional gas turbine plants, one additional piston engine facility, and a landfill compression station.  Operators at these sites are provided and directed by the host facility.  IPT advises the host or plant owner of the best strategy for operation and maintenance scheduling.  As the manager, IPT institutes its proven systems for gas purchasing, maintenance management, accounting, cost tracking, and performance monitoring.  The management services contract also provides the client with preferential access to IPT engineers, technicians, and field service personnel.

IPT has successfully developed over 22 MW of third party owned cogeneration capacity at three separate sites.  IPT took complete responsibility for all development tasks, including:

IPT's development expertise forms the core of its professional services.  IPT can bring its full range of development experience to bear on the problems faced by owners, managers, developers, investors, financial institutions, and host facilities for third party projects.  For example, IPT has recently completed technical and management audits for owners of power generation facilities using gas turbines and piston engines.  IPT has also consulted to gas pipeline owners regarding problems with their compression sets.
